With the insurance industry is poised for substantial employment growth in 2012, employers offer advice for insurance job seekers.
Business is booming – at least for employers in the insurance industry. According to a recent survey of insurance companies and agents, the insurance industry employment outlook for 2012 is exceptionally positive.
Conducted by GreatInsuranceJobs.com, the survey indicates that there are currently more than 13,000 available insurance jobs and 27,000 additional jobs are projected to be added by year-end.
But Scott Kotroba, President and CEO of GreatInsuranceJobs.com, says employers are still being very picky in their hiring processes, based on the large number of mismatched resumes they receive from job seekers.
“The challenge for job seekers is how to find the hidden jobs (jobs that may not be advertised at relatively unknown companies) that match their skill sets,” states Kotroba. “The bottom line, however, is that the insurance industry has many fantastic jobs available right now!”
To increase the odds of success, insurance employers advise job seekers to thoroughly read job descriptions and avoid trying to apply for jobs they clearly aren’t qualified to perform.
Top positions and recruitment categories for 2012 include:
